AYA! (November 2003) includes 16 chapters from Japan-based teachers working to foster learner autonomy in their classrooms and to integrate learning-centered teaching practices into policy discussions and curriculum reform programs in their respective institutions. Plus 3 overview chapters from Tim Murphey, Naoko Aoki and Phil Benson that explore the issues raised by the sixteen projects.
The Anthology has been a collaborative project from the outset and also includes critical responses by members of the project team, and reflective readings from leading authorities and practitioners in the field from around the world.
And when you buy your copy of the Anthology, you also get access to the resources website with classroom and research materials related to the projects featured in AYA!, and a forum for comment and discussion.
We see this project as the first in a series of collaborative anthology projects. Please join in the conversation by contributing to the ongoing discussion.
See the original Call for papers on the main SIG website to track the development of the project, or start thinking now about how you might contribute to a second volume.
